CHENEY – Here are the police reports for the last two weeks from Dec. 20 through Jan. 2.

Dec. 20

Verbal dispute on the 1500 block of First Street.

Missing 44-year-old male went missing and located later the same day on the 200 block of West Second Street.

Washington State drivers license found on the 2700 block of First Street.

Clutch purse with IDs and debit card found on 200 block of Second Street.

Trespassing reported on 400 block of First Street.

Vehicle hood and windshield damaged on the 1100 block of First Street.

Dec. 21

Trespassing reported on the 2700 block of First Street

Dec. 22 

Missing 61-year-old male went missing and located by family later the same day on the 1500 block of Ridgeview Drive.

Gas lines cut on two vehicles on the zero block of Cheney-Spokane Road.

Involuntary committal due to mental health reason on the 1500 block of First Street.

Missing 25-year-old female reported on the 700 block of West First Street.

Vehicle steering wheel and ignition damaged on the zero block of Spokane Street.

Dec. 23

2003 Ford Explorer stolen and recovered by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office the same day on the 300 block of North Eleventh Street.

Violation of a court order on the 1000 block of Betz Road.

Dec. 25

Laptop computer stolen from a vehicle on the 200 block of Pine Street.

Involuntary committal due to mental health reasons on the 500 block of Cambridge Lane.

 

Dec. 26

Violation of a court order on the 800 block of West First Street.

Cell phone stolen and recovered by Cheney Police Department on the 2600 block of First Street.

Dec. 27

Sunglasses stolen from vehicle on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway

Wallet, credit and debit cards, handbag, pet carrier, sunglasses, money, purse, clothing, laptop bag, and perfume were also stolen from a vehicle on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway.

15-year-old male runaway was reported missing on the 700 block of Salnave Road but was located in Lincoln County with family.

Edward J. Steetle, 32-year-old-male violated court order on the 1600 block of First Street.

Dec. 28

Fredric E. Gregory, 40-year-old-male was arrested for fourth degree assault domestic violence on the 100 block of North Ninth Street.

Involuntary Committal due to mental heath reasons on the 1000 block of Betz Road.

2017 silver Hyundai Sonata stolen from the 1000 block of Betz Road. It was located on Dec. 29 by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

A 2011 black Chevy Cruze was abandoned on the 1300 block of Second Street and impounded.

Wallet, WA driver’s license, credit and debit cards, Bluetooth speaker, and clothing was stolen from a vehicle on the 1500 block of Washington Street.

Money, utility knife, and remote vehicle starter was stolen from vehicle and the 1000 block of Betz Road.

Dec. 29

Stolen bicycle found on the 200 block of Simpson Way.

Wallet, IDs, credit and debit cards, pocket knife, and battery jump pack stolen from vehicle on the 1000 block of Betz Road.

Dec. 30

Forrest A. Harper, 28-year-old male was arrest for fourth degree assault domestic violence on the 1300 block of Third Street.

Involuntary committal due to mental heath reasons on the 2200 block of First Street.

Verbal dispute on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway.

Involuntary committal due to a suicide attempt on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway.

Dec. 31

Blankets and luggage with clothing was stolen from the 1000 block of Betz Road.

Jan. 1

Video game system and shoe collection stolen from the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

Video game system, Amazon Alexa, Ring doorbell, computer, camera, and food stolen from a residence on the 200 block of College Road.

Jan. 2

Verbal dispute on the 1000 block of Betz Road.

December 21

A report was filed regarding a domestic violence protection order violation in the SCOPE office

Caller reported reckless driving near the intersection of East Evergreen Drive and South Legg Street

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 500 block of North Minnie Street

A second call was made reporting reckless driving near the intersection of East Evergreen Drive and South Legg Street

December 22

Packages were reported stolen from a porch in the 200 block of South Washington Street

A call was made reporting a possible deceased person in the 400 block of South Grant Avenue, and when officers arrived they called for appropriate services

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 1000 block of North Prentis Street

Crime check was called to report a package theft in the 200 block of South Broad Street, and officers contacted the reporting person to take information

Officers self-initiated a personal check on a situation in the 1300 block of South Lefevre Street. Finding no criminal activity, a warning was issued

December 23

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 200 block of North Stanley Street

Officer stationed themselves at Waterfront Park to personally check for any trouble or criminal activity

A vehicle slid and was blocking the road in the 1100 block of North Carrie Drive, and officers assisted in getting the vehicle off the road

A call was made reporting a civil argument in the 900 block of East Spence Street, and officers arrived and issued a warning

A call was made requesting medical assistance to the 100 block of North Walker Street

December 24

A call was made requesting medical assistance to the 900 block of East Campbell Street

A call was made reporting an active alarm in the 200 block of East Barker Street, and when officers arrived they didn’t find anything

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 1000 block of North Christopher Street

A possible intoxicated driver was reported in the 100 block of West Lake Street, but officers were unable to locate the reported vehicle

A call was made requesting medical assistance to the 500 block of North Walker Street

A stuck vehicle was initially reported near the intersection of North Stanley Street and East State Route 902, but the call was cancelled because the driver was able to get the vehicle out of the snow

December 25

Caller requested response to an activated alarm in the 1100 block of North Edna Street, but it was a false alarm, so the response was cancelled

December 26

Caller reported reckless driving near the intersection of East Evergreen Drive and South Legg Street

An argument was reported in the 200 block of South Washington Street, and officers arrived and issued a warning

December 27

A call was made reporting people doing donuts in the parking lot of Waterfront Park, and officers arrived and issued a warning to the driver

An officer stationed himself at Waterfront Park to watch for more trouble, and issued another warning for unsafe driving in the conditions

Caller requested a welfare check in the 200 block of South Stanley Street, and when deputies arrived they referred the situation to a proper agency

Caller requested officer contact in the 800 block of North Graham Lane, and when an officer arrived they took information but found there was no reason to file a report

A driver was issued a citation for speeding near the intersection of West Medical Lake Highway and South Graham Road

December 28

An officer driving through the 200 block of East State Route 902 stopped to check on a suspicious vehicle, but found nothing of concern so a report was not made

A call was made reporting a suspicious person near waterfront Park, and an officer checked and didn’t find anyone matching the description

An officer stopped to check on an individual near the intersection of North Graham Road and North Fox Ridge Road, and finding nothing of concern did not file a report

An argument was reported in the 300 block of North Lefevre Street, and an officer made contact and issued a warning for the behavior to stop. A report was filed

December 29

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 300 block of North Grant Avenue

A domestic violence protection order was served in the 500 block of East Tara Lee Avenue

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 1000 block of East Campbell Street

A suspicious vehicle was reported near the intersection of East Barker Street and North Silver Lake Avenue

December 30

Reporting person called crime check to report people using drugs in the 200 block of South Washington Street

A vehicle was blocking part of a road near the intersection of North Stanley Street and East Tara Lee Avenue, and the owner was issued a warning and asked to move the vehicle

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 1000 block of East Campbell Street

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 2300 block of South Salnave Road

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 400 block of East Lake Street

December 31

Caller reported hearing noises outside of their home, and thought someone was trespassing. Upon arrival, officers didn’t find anyone on the property

Caller reported hearing loud noises, and upon investigating officers found out the noise was from fireworks

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 700 block of East Tara Lee Avenue

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 600 block of North Sherman Avenue

A suspicious person was reported in the 900 block of East Spence Street. Officers arrived and issued a warning for the individual

An individual found a lost purse and turned it into the SCOPE office

A two vehicle non injury crash happened near the intersection of North Lefevre Street and East State Route 902. One vehicle slid into the back of another while at a stop sign. One driver was issued a warning for driving too fast for conditions

A driver was pulled over and issued a warning for speeding near the intersection of South Stanley Street and East Grace Street

January 1

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 1000 block of East Campbell Street

An officer stopped and issued a warning to the driver of a vehicle doing donuts near Waterfront Park

A vehicle got stuck in snow near Waterfront Park, and officers were able to help the driver get back on the road

January 2

A call was made requesting medical assistance in the 600 block of North Martin Street

A dog was reported to be roaming around in the snow and cold in the 1100 block of North Carrie Drive

An officer did a standard patrol check at Waterfront Park and didn’t find any activity

Caller reported unsafe driving in the 2300 block of South Salnave Road, and when officers arrived they didn’t find the reported vehicle
