Last-chance to recertify for pesticide credits

CLARKSTON — The last chance to re-certify for pesticide credits this year is Dec. 10.

Washington State University and University of Idaho are offering the program from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clarkston Campus of Walla Walla Community College, 1470 Bridge St., or online.

There is no charge to participate.

Five Washington and Oregon and four Idaho re-certification credits have been applied for during the program.

Topics for the program include are:

Invasive and Noxious Weed Management Obligations and Strategies for Landowners by Nez Perce County Extension Officer Doug Finkelnberg.

Management of Pulse Crop Diseases in the Pacific Northwest by Lyndon Porter of WSU-Prosser.

Identification and Management of Insect Pest in Legumes, Wheat, and Canola, by Douglas County Extension Officer Dale Whaley.

Asian Giant Hornets and Cereal Aphids, by entomologist Arash Rashed.

Identification and Management of Winter Wheat Diseases, by plant pathologist Tim Murray.

Pre-registration is not required to attend in person.
