CHENEY – A Blackhawks swimmer has signed a letter of intent to attend Western Colorado University.
On Nov. 10, Jade Gere signed the letter and accepted $56,000 in academic and athletic scholarships from the school, her mother Joelle Gere said. The scholarships span four years.
Her mother said Gere set a goal about a year ago and worked extremely hard to make her dream come into fruition.
Father Richard Gere works for the Spokane County Sheriff's Office and mother Joelle Gere said as parents, they have always encouraged their girl to put forth her best effort for herself and others.
