Local man on Oregon State honor roll

CORVALLIS, Ore. – A Cheney man was named to the honor roll for summer 2021 at Oregon State University.

Thomas Posey was among 894 students with a 3.50 grade-point average or higher, university officials said last week.

In addition to making the grade, Posey carried at least 12 credit-hours of course work.

Square dancing on hold until January

CHENEY – The Hi-Fyers Square Dance Club is canceling its activities for the next several months.

According to the club, the cancelations are due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.

The club offers dances and lessons. It will resume activities in January, organizers said.
