Purple Pipe project funding corrected

Due to an editor’s error, a funding amount was incorrectly state in a story on the city of Cheney’s Purple Pipe project appearing in the July 22 issue of the Cheney Free Press.

The city received a $21.8 million loan from the state’s Water Quality Funding Program, not $13 million. The city has received $13 million in grants from the state for the project.
