Airway Heights shooter still at large

AIRWAY HEIGHTS — A domestic violence-shooting occurred in Airway Heights at around 3:50 a.m. on July 27. Zion J. Carter, 38, fired shots at his wife and 11-year-old stepdaughter, who were transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Airway Heights Police Officers and Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the call in the 1000 block of S. Aspen Street.

Carter is believed to have fled the scene in a silver 2018 Nissan Rogue with the Washington license plate BQT0555. He is a Black male, 6 foot 7 inches tall and weighing around 250 pounds. He has long hair in dreadlocks that are somet...
