Spokane County Fire District 3 firefighters monitor a vent pipe for a fuel tank at a Medical Lake home along State Route 902 that was destroyed by fire last Wednesday afternoon. Both occupants of the home were evacuated, with one taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
