Churches

Cheney Congregational Church

Greetings from Cheney Congregational. We welcome you to join us on Sunday mornings for in-person worship at 10 a.m. Masks are required.

In June we are beginning a new sermon series, “Four Greek Words Every Christian Should Know.” Join us to see how knowing the ancient Greek language can help illuminate scripture in fresh ways. Kids will have their own “Discovery Team Time” during the service.

Also, you’re invited to join us for our “Church in the Park” events on June 20, July 18 and Aug. 29. Partnering with a couple of other churches, we are holding our Sunday morning services outside in Sutton Park at 9:30 a.m. on those Sundays. We hope you’ll join us to learn about God’s creation while physically being in it. We hope to see you there!

If you’d like to learn more or contact us, visit our website, http://www.cheneycongregational.org.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

All are welcome to worship with us this Sunday, June 6, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m.

Mark your calendars and plan to attend one or all three scheduled multi-church outdoor worship services. All services will be held at Sutton Park beginning at 9:30 a.m. The dates are June 20, July 18, and Aug. 29. Cheney Congregational, Emmanuel Lutheran, and St. Paul’s Episcopal churches will take turns leading the worship services. Questions regarding the services may be directed to: http://www.emmanuelcheney.org or pastor Matt Goodale at mattgoodale@gmail.com. Visitors are expected.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm Street. Donations of books, nonperishable food, and personal care items for all ages are always accepted. All items are “take what you need, leave what you can.” Both are open to the community 24/7. Emmanuel thanks you for your continued support of this outreach to our neighbors.
