Broemmeling named director of business development

SPOKANE – Former West Plains Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Toby Broemmeling has been named the new director of business development at business coaching and consulting services firm Champion Empire. According to a news release, Broemmeling will oversee development of the organization’s strategic partnerships and establish strong long-term relationships with clients.

Broemmeling recently stepped down as executive director of the West Plains Chamber of Commerce in October where he served in that capacity since January of 2018 to join the growing startup.

“I was thankful for the opportunity to lead the Chamber and I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish,” Broemmeling said, “Today, I’m excited to join my skills and experiences with the Champion Empire team to help them carry out their mission in the Spokane area.”

Champion Empire was founded in 2020 by owners Jesse Johnson and Maayan Gordon to be the trusted resource for everything a business needs to grow. “We created Champion Empire to be something different in the market. To provide business leaders with the right coach, at the right time, and for the right reason, and also to connect them to timely resources when they need it most,” Johnson states.

“Toby is an engaging and energetic leader who has an understanding of business in the region and the West Plains,” Johnson states, “his ability to see value in everyone he meets is the culture we are trying to build at Champion Empire.”

Toby has a bachelor’s degree from Whitworth College and resides in Cheney with wife and two children.
