Cheney Congregational Church

Greetings! Cheney Congregational is currently hosting outdoor Sunday worship services in our parking lot at 10 a.m.

We have developed a Covid-19 safety plan that is in compliance with guidelines set up by the state. Masks are required and we are using social distancing among other safety precautions. We will be meeting outside in our parking lot for the foreseeable future.

We encourage you to bring your own lawn chair, and we will have chairs provided. As the weather gets colder we invite you to drive up in your car to participate in the service through your car radio. If it is rainy or cold then we will have the service broadcasting live to your car radio, so you can still come, park in the parking lot with everyone else and participate with us. We hope to see you there.

This is a difficult time. Our prayers and blessings go out to you.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Greeting from Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Although we cannot worship together as a congregation, we invite the West Plains community to access our website emmanuelcheney.org for weekly worship materials, sermon, and Zoom fellowship. If you should need pastoral support during this difficult time, please contact Pastor Arianna Arends at 509-954-5886.

Emmanuel plans to gather for worship services two weeks after Spokane County opens Phase 3. Will update if plans change.

Our Free Community Pantry remains open to the community and all are invited to take what they need and leave what they can. Donations of non-perishable food and personal care items for all ages are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of this important ministry to our neighbors in need.

United Methodist Church

Join us for a new sermon series beginning this week at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Alissa Bertsch will begin the “Homecoming” series with a sermon entitled “Heading Home While Staying Home.” Look to the weeks ahead as we welcome back former Cheney UMC pastors to speak during this series.

Our doors remain closed at the church but our worship is available online or with an at home worship guide. You can download the guide from the church website at http://www.cheneyumc.org. You may also contact Bertsch at 509-879-2278 if you would like be added to our mailing list for a hard copy. You remain in our hearts and prayers even as we continue to keep physically distanced.
