Free drive-in theater springs up in Moscow

Movies set for the next four weeks

MOSCOW, Idaho — A free drive-in movie theater will be set up in the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center gravel parking lot for the next four Saturdays.

The Moscow Drive-In gate opens at 7 p.m., and movies start at 8 p.m. Enter on Stadium Drive. The events are being offered by The University of Idaho, City of Moscow and Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre.

The movies are on a first-come, first-served basis; attendance is limited to 140 vehicles. The movies will not be canceled for weather.

Attendees will be directed to park in every other space to encourage social distancing.

Audio will be broadcast via radio. Running vehicles on auxiliary power is recommended. Guests must stay in their vehicles or in the beds of their trucks, unless they are using a bathroom.

Vandals Dining will offer concessions, and attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks.

Movies and dates are: "Yesterday," May 16; "Mean Girls," May 23; "A League of Their Own," May 30, and "Mission Impossible: Fallout," June 6
