Feb. 10

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 700 block of West 1st Street.

Michonda P. O’Brien, 36, was arrested on the 900 block of 1st Street on a Spokane Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS) charges.

Keys were found somewhere in Cheney and turned in to the police station.

Joseph M. Porter, 19, was arrested on the 1700 block of 1st Street on a Spokane County warrant for failure to appear on second-degree rape charges.

Feb. 11

Kenneth G. Browning, 24, was arrested for third-degree theft/shoplifting on the 100 block of West 1st Street.

A welfare check was conducted on the 1200 block of West 1st Street.

Second-degree theft/fraudulent debit card charges was reported on the 19200 block of South Aspen Meadows.

Feb. 12

Trespassing was reported on the 2800 block of 1st Street.

Isaac S. Pastrana, 21, was arrested for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 400 block of Lincoln Street. Two cars were egged.

Residential burglary was reported on the 500 block of West 5th Street. Purses and a TV were stolen.

Residential burglary was reported on the zero hundred block of Alki Street. Electronics were stolen.

Taking motor vehicle without owner’s permission was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A 2017 Chevy Silverado was taken and later recovered by Cheney police.

A 16-year-old male was arrested for harassment on the 400 block of North 6th Street.

Residential burglary was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A wallet, credit and debit cards and a laptop computer were taken.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 3000 block of Meadow Glen Lane. Registration was taken from a vehicle.

James R. McCormick, 27, was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief/damage to a door frame on the 700 block of West 1st Street.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on two counts of fourth-degree assault/domestic violence on the 3200 block of Meadow Glen Lane.

Feb. 13

A 15-year-old male was arrested for fourth-degree assault on the 400 block of North 6th Street.

A mental health issue was reported on the 1100 block of 3rd Street. Individual was involuntarily committed.

A backpack was found on the 100 block of 1st Street.

Feb. 14

Tommy L. Elands, 39, was arrested for third-degree DWLS on the zero hundred block of Terra Vista Lane.

Possession of controlled substance/methamphetamine was reported on the zero hundred block of Terra Vista Lane. Charges are pending.

Second-degree theft was reported on the zero hundred block of Spokane Street. Tires were reported stolen. Charges are pending.

Possession of controlled substance/heroin and methamphetamine was reported on the 1800 block of 1st Street. Charges are pending.

Dmitriy P. Chumov, 28, was arrested for third-degree DWLS on the 1800 block of 1st Street and on an Airway Heights warrant for third-degree theft.

Third-degree theft/shoplifting of beer was reported on the 2700 block of 1st Street.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway.

Cheney police assisted Washington State Patrol with a driving under the influence (DUI) arrest on the 1600 block of 2nd Street.

Feb. 15

Suspicious circumstances/an unwanted guest were reported on the 300 block of 1st Street.

First-degree burglary and second-degree robbery were reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A cellphone was stolen.

Feb. 16

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 1200 block of 1st Street. A window was broken.

Police assisted Spokane County Sheriff’s Office on a report of suspicious online activity on the 100 block of Alki Street.

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 100 block of West 1st Street.

Feb. 17

Third-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of North 11th Street. Bicycle parts were taken.

Trespassing was reported on the 300 block of F Street.

Third-degree theft/shoplifting was reported on the 2500 block of 1st Street. Liquor and food were reported taken.

Darrell J. Canfield, 22, was arrested for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence on the 300 block of Erie Street.
