Medical Lake Dollars for Scholars (MLDFS) announced that Matthew Brzostowski, Ph.D., a 1976 graduate of Medical Lake High School, donated $15,000 to establish a new endowed scholarship in the sciences.
Dr. Brzostowski, chief geoscientist with WesternGeCo, a division of Schlumberger Oil Company in Houston, Texas, is hoping to encourage high school students to consider pursuing careers in physics, geophysics, geology, geosciences, earth sciences or mathematics, according to a MLDFS press release.
