CHENEY – The Blackhawks basketball squad saw three Great Northern League games go into the loss column last week, dropping their league mark to 1-6 and 2-12 overall.
Toss out a 75-37 blowout on the road last Saturday at Pullman, and Cheney was in a position to win either one or both games against the Spokane Valley schools earlier in the week. The Blackhawks led 54-45 after three quarters at home against East Valley on Friday, but watched as the Knights caught fire offensively, outscoring the hosts 36-20 for the 81-74 win.
