The United States Department of Commerce, Office of Security, has been notifying law enforcement that Census Bureau field staff will be contacting residents to verify addresses and gather information related to the once-per-decade census.
This information, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, is being provided to keep the community informed and let people know how to identify Census Bureau staff and to avoid possible scams, according to a press release.
