It's time to go bowling, again

It’s done.

The college football post season has been finalized and is fast descending upon us like water poured from a 50-gallon barrel three feet above our heads.

Not counting the national championship game Jan. 13, there are 41 bowl games this year, which seems about par for the course. That means 82 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams reached post-season play.

That’s 82 out of 130 teams in FBS, so not quite 64 percent of schools. Not everybody can have what most would consider a “winning” record with that many teams, so that means a lot of teams one might look at as mediocre ar...
