AIRWAY HEIGHTS – A new 5G network is bringing top-of-the-line cellphone service to the West Plains area.
T-Mobile announced Monday that it had launched its network in Airway Heights, Spokane, and other areas of Eastern Washington and North Idaho.
According to company officials, the 5G network operates at 600 MHz and offers faster downloads and improved Internet connectivity, provided you have a cellphone that can access the network.
The low frequency allows cellphone signals to pass more easily through walls and other obstacles, officials said.
Cellphones that can access the network are the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and the OnePlus 7T Pro, company officials said, noting they will be offered at Eastern Washington stores beginning Friday, Dec. 6.
