CHENEY – Westwood Middle School teacher Lucas Jensen received the Educator of the Year award at the West Plains Chamber of Commerce’s “Best of the West” gala at Northern Quest Resort and Casino on Nov. 9.
Jensen, an eighth-grade science teacher at Westwood, was nominated by Principal Erika Burden and Assistant Principal Tami Skillingstad. He also advises Westwood’s Sea Perch underwater robotics club and took two teams to Washington D.C. last year for nationals.
