BOISE, IDAHO – Cheney High School cross country runners competed at the Nike NXR Northwest Regional Championships last Saturday at Eagle Island State Park. Running as Team Pacific Pod, the Blackhawks boys placed 56th out of 114 teams from throughout the Northwest while the girls were 42nd out of 79, both competing in the 5,000 meters open invitational MERG race.
Senior Bas Holland was the only Cheney runner to compete in the 5,000 meters championship race, placing 17th overall out of 212 runners with a time of 15 minutes, 51.70 seconds.
