Grocery Outlet opens in Cheney

As his wife Cassie McManus (right in Santa hat) and store employees look on, Grocery Outlet owner and operator Duran Slater cuts the ribbon opening Cheney's newest grocery store.

CHENEY -- Over 300 people stood outside in cold early morning temperatures to be the first through the door at the city's newest grocery store. Grocery Outlet opened today (Nov. 21), with special giveaway deals taking place for the first 200 customers through the door. From now through Dec. 19, customers may also enter to win a grand prize of free groceries for a year ($100 per month for one year, $1,200 value) with the drawing taking place Thursday, Dec. 19.
