It's a gold medal for Cheney's Condon at national championships

CHENEY – Golfer Peter Condon won gold at the Special Olympics North America Golf Championships played Sept. 22-25 at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, near Nashville, Tenn. Condon defeated reigning U.S. champion Scott Rohrer of South Carolina and Canadian Krystian Pushka by one stroke, competing in the highest division.

The competition stretched for 54 holes over the three days. Condon finished in fourth place at the end of the first round, shooting an 83, and followed it with a round of 78 on the second day, elevating him to third.
