Cardinal football squad falls to Freeman

MEDICAL LAKE – The Medical Lake football squads season continued as it has in previous games when the traveled to Rockford on Friday night, Oct. 4, where they endured a 56-8 pounding by the 2-1 Freeman Scotties.

Freeman came out from the first whistle fast and furious, scoring 26 points — one off a 50 yard interception with 2:30 remaining in the first quarter — for a 26-0 score going into the second quarter.

Stunned but not broken, the Cardinal defense managed to hold the Scotties to a lone 27-yard field goal in the second for a 29-0 score going into the halftime break.
