Bob Neubauer died on Sept. 3 of Alzheimer’s disease.
Bob came to Cheney and Eastern Washington University in 1974 to help start the Graduate School of Social Work at Eastern. He taught there for 26 years before retirement.
Bob loved cooking, especially breakfasts and for potlucks and retreats. He loved all kinds of music, books and writing poetry.
He survived by his wife Karen, daughter Kara Koh, son Andrew Neubauer and wife Kirsten Nygaard, grandchildren Max and Ruby Koh, sister Susan Steger and husband Bruce, sister-in-law Lois Vitcenda and numerous other relatives.
The family would like to thank Ridgeview Place and Hospice of Spokane for the help and care they gave to Bob.
A memorial will be held on Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Senior Hall Lounge on Eastern’s campus.
