State sharpshooters kill wolf near Pomeroy

POMEROY -- The state Department of Fish and Wildlife announced Oct. 4 that sharpshooters had a killed a Grouse Flats wolf a week prior.

The adult female wolf was shot Sept. 25, officials said, noting the wolf is believed to be the pack's breeding female.

The killing of the wolf follows several Grouse Flats pack attacks on livestock on private and public lands since Aug. 23, 2018.
