American Legion spring baseball tryouts on tap

Tryouts for next season’s AAA American Legion Spokane Cannons baseball team will be held on Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. in Medical Lake, according to a flyer.

High school seniors unsure if they want to play are asked to come to the tryout and discuss your interest with coaches.

Winter workouts begin in early December.

According to the flyer, the Cannons “strive to offer a high level of competition and coaching.”

Come to the tryout prepared to play baseball, including cleats, baseball pants, hat, gloves and bat, and a completed application form. Catchers should bring appropriate gear.

Players from last year will also need to tryout out.
