Eastern Washington to help Marshall residents without water

The town of Marshall has been without potable water since Aug. 7, and could be without water for up to a month.

According to news sources, a consulting engineer looking at the condition of the town’s pump determined a mechanical failure led to the shutdown of the only water source for its 70-plus residents. The malfunction could require an extensive repair that might leave residents without water up to 45 days.

Bottled water is being distributed door to door in the town located on the Cheney-Spokane Road and additional supplies are stocked near the town’s post office.
