LOOKING BACK WITH THE CHENEY HISTORICAL MUSEUM

One hundred fifty years ago in 1869, Thomas A.E. Philleo homesteaded southeast of Cheney near the lake that bears his name. He had spent the winter in Oregon, returning with a herd of cattle that established his herd.
