Commission OKs repairs at Alpha Phi

Exercising its responsibility to review appropriate changes to historic properties, the Cheney Historic Preservation Commission gave its approval — with conditions — at its Aug. 1 meeting to $11,000 in repair work to a historic house at 306 F St.
The house, known historically as the David and Bessie Lowe House, is owned by the Alpha Phi International Fraternity.
