Start 'em young

It may be baseball season outside, but basketball is on the minds of many.

Boys and girls in second through eighth grade took part in a four-day YMCA youth basketball camp at the Medical Lake High School gym this week, working on basic game skills.

“We have our high school girls run the camp,” Medical Lake High School head coach Kyle Lundberg said. “It gives them some leadership opportunities.”

Cardinal basketball players also serve as coaches for boys, who attended camp in the adjacent gym.
