Cheney Congregational Church

The Sunday morning worship service starts at 10 a.m. in the church at 423 N. 6th St. in Cheney. Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will deliver the sermon. Following the service, we’ll be having a farewell party for our pastor who is retiring to Arizona June 2. Women’s Fellowship will be serving a taco bar lunch along with ice cream and toppings. Everyone who would like to join us in congratulating Krueger-Duncan on his retirement is invited to attend.

The Church will serve lunch to the kids at Crosswalk in Spokane at noon on Thursday, May 23. This is an important part of the church’s community outreach program.

The men of the church will meet for breakfast and stimulating conversation Sunday, May 26 at 7:45 a.m. at the Marketplace Bakery & Eatery on First Street in Cheney.

The choir will practice at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 26. This will be the last choir practice until fall. For more information contact choir director, Kate Francis, at (509) 481-5234.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

The congregation of Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, May 26. Fellowship follows the worship service.

Adult education precedes the worship service at 9 a.m.

Please plan to have your children attend Emmanuel’s Vacation Bible School this summer. VBS will be held Monday July 15 through Friday July 19, and will once again be led by Lutherhaven Camp staff. All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items for all ages are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7. Emmanuel thanks you for your continued support of this outreach ministry to our neighbors.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside.

A special thank you for all who joined St. Paul’s annual Spring Cleanup Day last Saturday.

Attention all college students. The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry, ELM, gathers each Monday at 5 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 639 Elm St., Cheney. For more information, contact Soule at 844-2553.

Choir practice continues under the direction of Alexandra Rannow. Practice is every Tuesday at 6 p.m. All are invited to come and sing.

Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. All are welcome.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.

United Methodist Church

Worship is at 10 a.m. this Sunday at the United Methodist Church. Please join the congregation as pastor Alissa Bertsch continues the “Catch” sermon series on evangelism. Pastor Pat Sleeth will assist with the service. This week’s topic is making visitors feel welcome.

Prior to worship at 9 a.m. there is a multi-age Sunday school class for middle and high school aged students. Stay after worship and enjoy a time of fellowship.
