Cheney Congregational Church

Everyone is invited to join our Sunday morning worship service at 10 a.m. Plan to join us in the fellowship hall following the service.

The “Lunch Bunch” will meet in the fellowship hall at noon on May 9. Everyone is welcome to join the group. Bring a potluck dish and share good food and conversation.

The communications team will meet Thursday, May 9, in the Fireside Room at 1 p.m.

The men of the church will meet at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, at the Marketplace Bakery & Eatery to enjoy breakfast and stimulating conversation.

Our church will be hosting the Pacific Northwest National Association of Christian Congregational Churches conference Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18. Registration and lunch start at noon on Friday.

Sunday, May 19, the “Women’s Fellowship” will have a lunch meeting at noon at Mariann Donley’s home. Everyone is asked to bring a sandwich to share.

Our next fourth Wednesday educational series “Things I Learned Somewhere” will be May 22 at 7 p.m. This month certified master beekeeper, Jim Miller will share his expertise on “Flowers That Make Bees Dance.” Everyone is invited to attend this free series. The presentation will last one hour followed by coffee, cookies and conversation in the Fireside Room.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday, May 12, at 10:30 a.m. Fellowship follows the worship service.

Adult education begins Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items for all ages are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7.

United Methodist Church

Bring mom to church this Sunday and join us for worship at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Alissa Bertsch will continue a new sermon series, the Catch series. This week’s theme is “Answering Three Important Questions.” Prior to worship at 9 a.m. there is a multi-age Sunday school class for middle and high school aged students. 

Stay after worship for a chocolate fest to celebrate moms, moms to be and other women who care for us, nurture our souls and guide us in our life journeys. Feel free to bring a treat to share.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Holy Eucharist is at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside.

Attention all college students. The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry, ELM, gathers each Monday at 5 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 639 Elm Street, Cheney. For more information contact Soule at 844-2553.

Choir practice continues under the direction of Alexandra Rannow. We practice every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Come sing with us.

Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. All are welcome.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.
