Signs of spring

Spring was in the air at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge on Friday, April 26, with deer picking their way through the forests, geese spreading their wings and wildflowers showing their brightly colored faces for the first time since the start of the long winter. The refuge is home to many different types of wildlife, including swans, geese, butterflies and 11 species of bats.
