LOOKING BACK WITH THE CHENEY HISTORICAL MUSEUM

One hundred years ago in 1919, newspapers closely followed the story of American Lt. Cmdr. Albert C. Read who took off in a Navy flying boat NC4 to complete the first transatlantic airplane flight when he landed in Lisbon, Spain 24 days later. He completed the journey, stopping at three locations.
