Cardinals down Freeman in track

Despite nasty spring weather, the Medical Lake High School boys and girls track and field teams managed some solid performances in competition last week.

Both Cardinals squads downed Freeman in their first Northeast A League meet of the season. The boys handled the Scotties 90-38 while the girls topped the hosts 71-54 in windy and cold conditions at Rockford last Wednesday.

Medical Lake fell to the other NEA school at the meet, Lakeside, the boys losing 89-51 and the girls 108.66-41.33.
