Today (March 28) is the 175th birth anniversary of Lucy Robbins Switzer, born in 1844. She was a prominent suffragette, women’s rights activist and a leader in the temperance movement in Washington. She lived to see Prohibition enacted and women attaining the right to vote in this state and the country. Learn more about our area’s history at www.cheneymuseum.org.
