For your contemplation: “You realize that prayer takes us beyond the law. When you are praying you are, in a certain sense, an outlaw. There is no law between the heart and God. The law is outside our intimate relationship with God and if you bring a law into the intimate relationships with God, you mess things up. Between the soul and God there are no laws. But that is not a natural situation: it is the result of redemption, the result of Christ.” Thomas Merton.

United Methodist Church

You are invited to worship with us this week at the United Methodist Church. This Sunday, pastor Pat Sleeth will be peaching from the gospel of Luke and will continue the sermon series entitled “See All the People.” A noisy bucket offering will be received at the service so bring some change, make some noise and donate toward this summer’s Vacation Bible School program.

Preceding worship there is a multi-age Sunday school class for elementary and middle school students.

For additional information on other worship and study opportunities you may call the church office.
