Uninspired first half seals loss

The Medical Lake boys’ basketball crew lost on the road 76-61 against the NEA leading Deer Park (10-1, 18-1) on Friday. The Cards fell to 4-6 in Northeast A after a two-game winning streak on the road.

“We found ourselves trying to dig out of a 25-7 first quarter hole on their Senior Night,” head coach Noel Hachtel said. “To add to the drama, Deer Park was also playing for their first-ever league championship.”
