Cardinal girls suffer rare back-to-back losses at WV tourney
The last time the Medical Lake girls lost two basketball games in a row was last March when the Cardinals saw their undefeated season end and dreams of a state championship evaporate at the Sun Dome in Yakima.
That rarity occurred again last week at the Eagle Holiday Classic at West Valley High School where Medical Lake dropped a 61-55 matchup to powerful 2A opponent East Valley on Dec. 28. That was followed by a 65-35 humbling from Intermountain League leader Timberlake from Spirit Lake, Dec. 29.
