Heritage Baptist Church

There is an unique display of beauty that appears every autumn. Leaves that were green during the spring and through the summer change into a variety of beautiful colors.

It is a decreased supply of sap brought on by summer dryness or autumn frost that brings out this rugged beauty in nature.

Thus God’s creation responds to the hardships which come upon it. The end of all suffering finds its meaning in God. It is the fruit of righteousness which springs from the exercise of faith.

Job tells us “Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth therefore despise not thou the chastening of the almighty.” Job 5:17.

With this in mind, the believer prays, “And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish thou the work of our hands upon us.” Psalm 90:17a.

Job faced the wonders like our past weekend and asked, “Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?” Job 38:22. The Creator of the universe is an awesome God.

We would like to invite you to our Sunday morning service at 11:11 a.m. and our Sunday  evening service at 6:06 p.m.. We meet at 1831 First St. across the street from the new CHAS Clinic.

We would also invite you to share in the Introduction to the Old Testament course from the Inland Northwest College of the Bible. Call 342-6038 for more information.

Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

For your contemplation: “Remember Christian soul, that thou hast this day and every day of thy life, God to glorify. Jesus to imitate. A soul to save. A body to mortify. Sins to repent of. Virtues to acquire. Hell to avoid. Heaven to gain. Eternity to prepare for. Time to profit by. Neighbors to edify. The world to despise. Devils to combat. Passions to subdue. Death, perhaps, to suffer. Judgment to undergo.” Saint Augustine.
