Cheney Community Church

The “Operation Christmas Child” collection week continues. Shoe box gifts can be brought to the drop-off center at Cheney Community Church at 1307 3rd St. through this week.

The center hours are: Thursday, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m .; Friday, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m .; Saturday, noon – 3 p.m .; Sunday the 18th, 1 p.m. – 6 p.m .; and Monday the 19th, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

There is still time to fill a shoe box. Empty ones are available at the church.

The men enjoyed fellowship at their monthly breakfast last Saturday. The Holy Flame Youth Group meets every Monday evening at 6 p.m. for dinner followed by Bible study.

The AWANA Club is currently having a food drive to collect items for the Cheney Food Bank. Clubbers earn extra points for their team if they bring a food item. There will be no AWANA Club on Wednesday, Nov. 21, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Sunday service is at 10 a.m. including children’s church. Bible classes meet at 9 a.m. Come join us. For further information, call (509) 235-4841.

Cheney Congregational Church

Welcome to Cheney Congregational Church. We invite you to join us in worship, no matter where you are on your journey of faith. This Sunday, Nov. 18, Michael Folsom will give a thought provoking sermon on “Charity: The Intended and Unintended Consequences” and how our actions can affect the world around us. 

Join us after services for our annual Thanksgiving dinner, good food and good fellowship.

We would like to thank Dr. Michael Folsom for his presentation, “Floods of Fire and Ice.” It was enjoyed by all. We look forward to future presentations on this and other topics.

Heritage Baptist Church

You are invited to join us for Sunday morning worship at Heritage Baptist Church this week. The morning service begins at 11:11 a.m. Our Sunday evening service begins at 6:06 p.m. We meet at 1831 First St.

Thursday evening is our next meeting, unfolding our future plans for 2019. We are excited about the new year. 

Inland Northwest School of the Bible will soon begin its class on the introduction to the Old Testament.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit.

Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside.

Attention all college students. The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry, ELM, gathers each Monday at 5 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 639 Elm St. For more information contact Soule at 844-2553.

Choir practice continues under the direction of Alexandra Rannow. We practice every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Come sing with us.

Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

Thank you to all who visited our annual “Holiday Bazaar.” It was a pleasure to greet you and have you with us.

United Methodist Church

Please join us for worship at the United Methodist Church as we head into Thanksgiving week. Pastor Alissa Bertsch will be speaking and leading the service assisted by pastor Pat Sleeth.

Prior to worship, at 9 a.m., there is a multi-age Sunday school class for elementary and middle school students as well as an adult class studying the book “Unafraid.”

There is always a time of fellowship immediately following the service.
