It may not be the result the Cheney High cross country program was looking forward to this season, but the results from last Saturday’s glue-in meet between the Great Northern League and Central Washington Athletic Conference were good results nonetheless.
All three Blackhawks runners advanced to 2A state competition this Saturday at Pasco’s Sun Willows Golf Course. Junior Bas Holland and senior Julian Torres both finished in the top 21 in boys competition at Apple Ridge Golf Course in Cowiche while sophomore Marion Mager-Reeser did likewise in the girls’ 3-mile race.
