CHENEY

Oct. 15

A vehicle reported stolen from the 2200 block of First Street was subsequently recovered on the 2200 block of First Street.

Anthony D.P. Leiato, 20, was arrested on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway for second-degree assault/domestic violence.

Oct. 16

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 400 block of Annie Place. Damage to a car.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the zero hundred block of Third Street.

Oct. 17

Alex F. Alavos, 31, was arrested on the 2700 block of First Street for a felony warrant out of Walla Walla County for possession of controlled substance.

First-degree malicious mischief was reported on Condor Street in Harvest Bluff. Damage to done to cement that was recently poured as part of construction.

A green bicycle was found on the 2600 block of First Street.

Mental health issue was reported on the 200 block of North Third Street. Police deployed force (beanbag rounds) against a male who refused to drop what appeared to be knives but later were determined to be plastic.

Oct. 18

Second-degree theft was reported on the 1400 block of Second Street. A bicycle was taken.

Police took a courtesy report at Cheney High School for the Spokane Police Department regarding a harassment investigation.

Suspicious circumstances were reported at Cheney High School. Police investigated a possible threat of violence at the school that was originally made via Snapchat social media to Coeur d’Alene High School in Idaho.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the zero hundred block of West Fifth Street.

Oct. 19

A medical injury was reported on the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road. Male subject was involuntarily committed for treatment of the injury.

A runaway was reported on the 700 block of West First Street. The suspect subsequently returned.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 300 block of Erie Street.

Oct. 20

A checkbook was found on the 400 block of First Street.

Residential burglary was reported on the 400 block of C Street. Clothes were taken.

Oct. 21

Drawing/displaying/intimidating with a weapon was reported on the 100 block of Terra Vista Lane.

Forgery was reported on the 2300 block of First Street. An individual tried to pass a counterfeit $50 bill.

A Lewis and Clark High School student identification was turned in to the police station.
