Eastern looks for a bit of payback after 2017 loss in Cedar City
A favorite for the 2018 Big Sky Conference football championship and the defending co-champions meet Saturday at Roos Field as Eastern Washington and Southern Utah clash with a 12:10 p.m. kickoff.
Last year in Cedar City, a second-half meltdown led to a 46-28 loss to the Thunderbirds, the first of what would be two consecutive losses to the Big Sky’s Utah teams. The following week, Eastern lost at home to Weber State 28-20 in what essentially proved to be a big reason why the Eagles were passed up in the postseason.
