Cheney coat drive underway
It is that time of year again; time to collect and distribute coats for the Cheney Community Coat Drive. New or used coats for all ages can be donated beginning Sept. 6 at area schools, churches and several businesses.
Big Wash and local volunteers will make sure all of the coats are clean and ready for distribution in October. Distribution is set for Thursday, Oct. 11, at Sunset Elementary school, Saturday, Oct. 13, at Salnave Elementary School and Monday, Oct. 29, at Feed Cheney.

Cheney book club hosts author meet-up Sept. 28
The Cheney Friends of the Library book club meeting will be held in the Cheney Library meeting room at 6:30 p.m.
The book “Girl Waits With Gun” by Amy Stewart will be discussed. Leading the discussion will be Delphine Phillips. This is the book for the Spokane Reads groups and the author will be appearing in Spokane on Sept. 28th at two locations and times. Check at the library for more information. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend.
