After three months on the job, Airway Heights code enforcement officer Kristina Blake is making serious headway on the problems facing the city and the results speak for themselves.
In June, Blake became the city’s first code enforcement officer in more than a decade, and has had quite the workload dealing with residential hoarding, illegal dumping and vehicles parking in the city right of way. She opened 144 cases in August alone.
Her recent focus has been cleaning up the city’s mobile home parks, many of which had fallen into disrepair or were overrun with garbage due to illegal dumping.
