CHENEY

Aug. 9

Terry L. Morrow, 34, Anthony P. Lawson, 38, and Christopher T. Gooch, 44, were arrested for second-degree theft for a bad check scam first reported on May 24 that took place on the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road.

Aug. 13

An abandoned auto was reported on the 600 block of Second Street. Police impounded a 2004 silver Ford Mustang.

A 2000 black Mercury Marqui was impounded on the 700 block of West First Street.

A civil problem was reported on the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road.

Theft of a vehicle was reported on the zero hundred block of First Street. A black, 1991 Silverado pickup truck was taken.

A mental health issue was reported on the 500 block of First Street. Subject was involuntarily committed.

A runaway juvenile was reported on the 800 block of West First Street. Juvenile has been located.

Aug. 14

Ephrem Y. Aden, 29, was arrested on the 300 block of Sixth Street for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

Jason L. Transue, 40, was arrested on the 500 block of West Third Street for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

Brittany M. Sutherland-Hutson, 23, was arrested on Interstate 90 at milepost 272 for reckless driving.

Second-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 3500 block of Thistle Creek Lane. Vehicles were keyed.

A safety deposit box key was found on the 400 block of First Street.

Aug. 15

A runaway juvenile was reported on the 500 block of north Third Street. Juvenile has returned.

A 13-year-old male was arrested on the 100 block of West First Street for third-degree theft/shoplifting and minor in possession of alcohol.

Possession of stolen property was reported on the 600 block of Third Street.

Aug. 17

A vehicle prowl was reported on the 100 block of Third Street.

A traffic complaint was reported on the 3300 block of Meadow Glen Lane. Vehicle was eventually stopped on Interstate 90 at Grove Road exit. Police arrested Mackenzie R. O’Bryant, 27, for no valid drivers license. Incident turned over to Washington State Patrol.

Possible child abuse/neglect was reported on the 800 block of West First Street.

Domestic violence was reported on the 700 block of Salnave Road. Incident was a fourth-degree assault between siblings, however no arrest was made due to the ages of the siblings.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the zero hundred block of Third Street. Damage was done to a sliding glass window.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 2700 block of First Street.

Forgery was reported on the 900 block of First Street. Counterfeit $20 bills were found.

Aug. 18

Violation of park rules was reported on the 200 block of Presley Drive. Devin F. Graham, 30, was arrested for being in the park after dark.

A 15-year-old female reported as a runaway out of Post Falls, Idaho, was arrested on the 2200 block of First Street on a Kootenai County extraditable warrant for petite theft probation violation and an unnerved protection order.

Aaronn J. Abbott, 40, was arrested on the 1500 block of Third Street for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

Aug. 19

Third-degree malicious mischief/domestic violence was reported on the 1600 block of Second Street.

Two bicycles were found on the 100 block of H Street.

Aug. 20

An abandoned auto was reported on the 100 block of H Street. A turquoise Kia Sephia was impounded.

A mental health issue was reported on the 100 block of Fourth Street. Subject was involuntarily committed.

A list of items originally taken in a residential burglary on the 200 block of Gregory Drive first reported on Aug. 8 was turned in to police investigators.

Harassment was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

Third-degree theft/shoplifting was reported on the 100 block of West First Street.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 300 block of West First Street.

Police assisted the Cheney Fire Department on a medical call on the zero hundred block of Columbia Street.

Civil problem/dispute between roommates was reported on the 1300 block of First Street.

Aug. 21

Forgery was reported on the 900 block of First Street. Counterfeit $20 were found.

Aug. 14

An assault was reported on the 800 block of Maple Street.

A prowl check was reported on the 1300 block of South Lefevre Street.

A prowl check was conducted on the 800 block of East Justin Avenue.

A prowl check was conducted on the 14000 block of West Fancher Road.

Aug. 15

A suspicious vehicle was reported on the 200 block of East Barker Street.

Prowl checks were conducted on the 1300 block of South Lefevre Street.

Harassment was reported on the 600 block of North Jefferson Street.

Theft was reported on the 200 block of North Walker Street.

A prowl check was conducted on the 200 block of East Barker Street.

A prowl check was conducted on the 14000 block of West Fancher Road.

Aug. 16

A hit and run accident was reported on the 500 block of South Grant Avenue.

A prowl check was conducted on the 14000 block of West Fancher Road.

A prowl check was conducted on the 1300 block of South Lefevre Street.

Aug. 20

A commercial alarm was reported on the 600 block of East State Route 902.

Theft was reported on the 800 block of Maple Street.

A welfare check was conducted on the 700 block of East Kathy Lee Avenue.

A domestic violence order of protection violation occurred on the 1800 block of South Pogue Street.

Aug. 16

An alarm was reported on the 12800 block of West 12th Avenue.

A welfare check was conducted on the 10400 block of West Highway 2.

A welfare check was conducted on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road.

A suspicious person was reported on the 100 block of North Hayford Road.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on the 900 block of South Lawson Street.

Aug. 17

A suspicious vehicle was reported on 12th Avenue and Hazelwood Drive.

An attempted suicide occurred on the 1000 block of South Beeman Street.

A suspicious person was reported on Sprague Avenue and Industry Drive.

A suspicious person was reported on the 800 block of South Russell Street.

An assault occurred on the 1600 block of South Russell Street.

Aug. 18

An argument occurred on the 13600 block of West Sixth Avenue.

Theft occurred on the 12600 block of West 18th Avenue.

A criminal trespass occurred on the 1500 block of South Craig Road.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on Highway 2 and Hayford Road.

Theft occurred on the 12800 block of West Highway 2.

Aug. 19

An argument occurred on the 800 block of South Russell Street.

Theft occurred on the 1100 block of South West Drive.

A traffic accident occurred on Hayford Road and Highway 2.

Theft occurred on the 1400 block of South Garfield Street.

An assault was reported on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road.

Aug.20

A commercial alarm was reported on the 13300 block of West Highway 2.

A welfare check was conducted on the 11800 block of South Garfield Street.

A traffic accident occurred on the 13500 block of West Highway 2.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on Highway 2 and Albert Street.

Domestic violence occurred on the 2000 block of South Craig Road.

Aug. 21

An argument was reported on the 13600 block of West Sixth Avenue.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on McFarlane Road and Garfield Road.

A commercial alarm was reported on the 12800 block of West McFarlane Road.
