Third-degree theft was reported on the 700 block of Third Street. A GPS and tools were taken from a vehicle.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 600 block of Elm Street. A bicycle was taken.
A purse was found at the U.S. Post Office on the 200 block of Second Street and turned in to the police department.
Fourth-degree assault/domestic violence was reported on the 700 block of West First Street.
A cellphone was found on the 200 block of Presley Drive.
Cheney police assisted Adult Protective Services on the 100 block of Walker.
A black and gray 2003 Toyota Camry was towed from the 1600 block of Third Street. The vehicle had been reported abandoned on July 31.
Aug. 8
Nicole M. Richardson, 37, and Courtney R. Jacobsen, 40, were arrested for third-degree theft/shoplifting on the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road.
A mental health issue was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. Subject was involuntarily committed.
Aug. 9
A hit and run collision was reported on the 2400 block of Washington Street. Incident occurred on July 31.
Attempted suicide was reported on the 300 block of North 11th Street. Subject was involuntarily committed.
A 16-year-old female was arrested on the 1700 block of Seventh Street for violation of a no-contact order.
Aug. 10
Lela M. Watson, 20, was arrested on the 100 block of Alki Street for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.
Aug. 11
A property damage accident was reported on the 300 block of Gregory Drive. Some teens started their mother’s vehicle and drove over a power box.
Harassment was reported on the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road.
Residential burglary was reported on the 300 block of Fifth Street. Clothing was taken.
Aug. 12
Police assisted Eastern Washington University officers on a foot pursuit following a traffic stop on the 800 block of Fourth Street.
Second-degree theft was reported on the 100 block of Alki Street. A wallet was taken.
A wrench was found and turned in to the police department.
