Cheney Congregational Church

We just had a celebration of friendship at our church on Sunday July 29. We do this when it is the fifth Sunday of the month. Just a nice way of visiting with friends over a meal and small talk.

The Congregational Church would like to get to know its neighbors. On Saturday, Sept. 29, from noon -- 3 p.m. Stay tuned as we will reveal more details as we approach that date.

Cheney Congregational Church holds church services every Sunday starting at 10 a.m. A social hour is held after the meeting. Some finger food and small talk. Sunday, Aug. 5, there will be communion and one of the members will be baptized. Come join us.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday, Aug. 5, at 10:30 a.m. Coffee hour follows the worship service. Christian education for grade school through adults is in recess until Rally Day on Sept. 9.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St.

Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7.

Heritage Baptist Church

School is rapidly approaching. It’s time to consider your fall schedule. May we suggest adding church? Heritage Baptist Church is a small church with many options ahead of it. Our services is scheduled for Sunday at 11:11 a.m. and at 6:06 p.m., as well as midweek small group Bible studies.

We are looking forward to our special “Back to church Sunday,“ Sept. 16. Everyone is invited. More information will be provided as days go on.

We would like to suggest attending the Franklin Graham Northwest Decision America Tour on Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Spokane Fair and Expo Center. We will look for you there. Your eternal destiny may be at hand.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside.

Attention all college students. The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry, ELM, will resume in September with the opening of college. For more information contact Rev. Soule at 844-2553.

Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.

The vegetable garden boxes are planted and the vegetables are growing and ripening. We are now bringing fresh, healthy vegetables to the Cheney Food Bank for the rest of the summer.

United Methodist Church

Please join us at the United Methodist Church this Sunday as Pastor Alissa Bertsch continues a sermon series based on the book “Always Wear Clean Underwear and Other Ways Parents Say I Love You.” This Sunday Holy Communion will be celebrated during the service. All are welcome at the table.

Vacation Bible School is almost here. Save the week of August 12-16 for this year’s program based on Daniel’s courage in captivity. Online registration is open now.
