Daniel Robert "Bob" Wagner

Daniel Robert "Bob" Wagner, 77, entered into eternal peace on June 29, 2018 at Hospice House South in Spokane surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on May 7, 1941 in Strasburg, N.D. to Math and Cecelia Wagner. The family relocated to Spokane in 1943. Bob was very proud to call Hillyard his home.

He attended Rogers High School, the Washington State School for the Blind in Vancouver, Wash. and graduated from Hudson's Bay High School. He received his associate in applied science, culinary arts degree from Spokane Community College and began his career as a cook at Interlake School in Medical Lake in 1967. He worked there until that facility closed in 1994.

He married Margaret Renee Keller on May 23, 1964. They raised three children and enjoyed 54 beautiful years of marriage. He retired from Lakeland Village in 1999.

Bob was the proud owner of a 1940 Ford Deluxe Sedan and enjoyed being a member of the Dukes Auto Club of Spokane and the Slicks of Medical Lake. He and Renee' formed many long-lasting friendships with members of these car clubs. Bob took great pride and pleasure in coordinating rod runs for his friends and used his great organizational skills to create memorable events.

Bob is survived by his wife, Renee', their children, DeAnna (Paul) Cunha, Dan (Lisa) Wagner, Annette (Dan Dodd) King; three grandchildren, Ryan (Becky) Wagner, Cory Wagner and Nathan King. He is also survived by his brothers, Fred Wagner (Denver, Colo.) and Mike Wagner (Cupertino, Calif.). He is preceded in death by and is now reunited with his loving parents in heaven.

The family is extremely grateful to Jessica Blackwell, ARNP, and Dr. Arvind Chaudhry, Summit Cancer Center; Dr. Henry Mroch, Providence Kidney Care; and Dr. Nanette Smith, Kaiser Permanente for the expert care, love, and compassion they provided to Bob throughout every medical challenge he faced. Bob was well known and loved by all. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Medical Lake High School Auditorium (200 E. Barker).
