Four state corrections employees working in Spokane County have received Annual Agency Awards from the Washington State Department of Corrections. They were honored at a ceremony Friday, April 20, in Tumwater.

commitment to the department’s mission of improving public safety. Each year, staff members are nominated for the awards by their colleagues.

A total of 74 DOC employees across the state received agency awards out of a pool of 1,073 nominations.

Two award recipients work at the Airway Heights Corrections Center. Corrections and custody officer Bridgette Bolinger was named Correctional Officer of the Year, with AHCC psychology associate Susan Crowe named Employee of the Year.
